Back in the early 1940's-1970's elastic arm bands were used widely in youth and high school hockey to designate the team's Captain "C" or Alternate "A" player(s).  Additionally, even today many youth programs struggle with whether to sew a designated letter onto association jerseys yearly, with having to painstakingly remove them at season ending with recycled jerseys year in, and year out.  This fully sewn elastic armband eliminates the need to do so!
