The Metropolitan Sports Center played host to the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament and was broken in with a titanic battle between the Hornets of Edina and the Warroad Warriors.  The Hornets eventually walked away with the 5-4 overtime victory and marked the first of three consecutive appearances in the tournament final.
